Description
Chitin is considered the second most abundant natural structural polysaccharide in the world. It occurs in the exoskeleton of certain insects and crustaceans. Furthermore, it can be used for the manufacture of glucosamine and chitosan.
METHOD OF PREPARATION
EntoChitin is produced during Inseco’s insect protein production process. Chitin is extracted as a by-product and further refined using chemical processing methods, carefully dried and packed in a specialized product laboratory.
Directions for use
Chitin has applications in cosmetics, anti-microbial food packaging, agriculture and pharmaceuticals. Chitin is a biodegradable material and therefore can be used in industrial applications as an eco-friendly alternative.
